Philly food is so much more than cheesesteaks. Let us show you.

Tickets on Sale Now for FEASTIVAL

feastivalLike the three Grand Tours in cycling, Philadelphia has three grand food festivals every year.  The year starts with Brewer’s Plate, then in the middle is Great Chef’s Event, and now in a little over a month is the other pillar of this triumvirate: FEASTIVAL. Each festival has its own strength, but when it comes to quality of local restaurants presented, FEASTIVAL, presented by Audi, reigns supreme.  It also, like the others, raises money for a good cause: FringeArts.

The event will take place on Thursday, September 28 from 7-10pm (or 6-10pm if you opt for early admission). Tickets, which are priced to raise money but also to reflect the quality of the restaurants in attendance, are available on FEASTIVAL’s website now. The standard 7-10pm ticket will run you $300, and the early admission ticket is $450.  The event once again will take place outside of La Peg and the FringeArts headquarters, with views of the Delaware River Waterfront and Race Street Pier.

FEASTIVAL is co-hosted by Mike Solomonov, Stephen Starr, Audrey Claire Taichman, and, new this year, Nicholas Elmi.  If Stephen Starr’s restaurant empire, Audrey Claire, Laurel, Federal Donuts and Zahav aren’t enough to sell you on the event, there will be plenty of others there to keep you full all night long: American Sardine Bar, Bing Bing Dim Sum, Cheu Noodle Bar, Double Knot, Fette Sau, Fond, Fork, High Street on Market, Lacroix, Noord, Poi Dog, Royal Izakaya, Russet, Townsend, V Street, Vernick Food & Drink, and many more.  For a full list, check out the FEASTIVAL website.

I say this every year, but the event really is one of the best food-related festivals in the city, and should not be missed.  Don’t let the ticket price turn you away – it goes to a good cause and will get you bites from almost every top-rated restaurant in the city.  To eat at all of them would cost thousands of dollars, so why not pay a fraction of that and get to try them all? And for a good cause, to boot.  And I didn’t even mention all the entertainment provided by FringeArts!  Hopefully, we’ll see you there.
